The
European Heart Network study on children and obesity was launched
in Dublin in April. IDF Europe is proud to be a principal partner in this important project which aims to tackle the obesity epidemic among children and adolescents and the associated avoidable diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The study will span twenty countries and take three years, and will look at the impact of food marketing towards children and consider the policy options aimed at addressing obesity in the young.
