Tisztelt Kollégák! A Magyar Gyermekorvosok Társasága 2024-ben ünnepli alapításának 100. évfordulóját. A centenáriumi év legjelentősebb eseménye, a gyermekgyógyászat közös nagy ünnepe, a Magyar Gyermekorvosok Társasága 2024. november 14-16. között Debrecenben, a Kölcsey Központban tartandó jubileumi Nagygyűlés lesz, amely együttesen kerül megrendezésre a Házi Gyermekorvosok Egyesületének őszi konferenciájával. A kongresszus kiváló alkalom és lehetőség arra, hogy visszatekintsünk a szakma fejlődésére, a Társaság múltjára, de egyben hivatásunk jövőképét, az orvoslás jelenét és jövőjét is bemutassuk és megvitassuk. Taking place in the beautiful city of Budapest, Hungary, this eagerly anticipated event will be held from November 13^th to November 16^th, 2024. With a focus on advancing knowledge and expertise in pediatric neuroradiology, this congress promises to be a momentous occasion for both societies. The congress will feature a comprehensive program, including a full-day course on fetal imaging, providing invaluable insights and updates in this rapidly evolving field. Additionally, the main congress will span two and a half days, offering educational sessions on hot topics, as well as opportunities for scientific paper presentations. Tisztelt Kolléganők és Kollégák! Egy hévízi hétvégére invitálnám Önöket, mint a balneológiát művelő vagy kedvelő érdeklődőket. A találkozásra a Magyar Balneológiai Egyesület 2024. évi Nagygyűlése ad lehetőséget, mely november 8-10. között Hévízen kerül megrendezésre. Hévízről elsőként valószínűleg mindenkinek a különleges forrás-tó jut eszébe, melynek sajátos összetétele biztosítja a gyógyulás lehetőségét. Egy 1557-ből származó levél már azt sejteti, hogy itt már ebben az időszakban valamilyen gyógyító központ működhetett, hiszen Bornemissza János, a kanizsai vár kapitánya engedélyt kért arra, hogy hévízi orvosokkal kezeltesse magát. Így tett 1640-ben Sibrik Pál egerszegi várkapitány is, aki lábfájását, majd 1707-ben pedig Vak Bottyán generális, aki köszvényét gyógykezeltette itt. A tó vizéről szóló első orvosi jelentés Mária Terézia rendeletére született 1769-ben, Szlaby Ferenc, Zala Vármegye orvosának tollából. A legelső, 1795-ben nyomtatásban is megjelent orvosi elemzés a tó vizéről pedig Babótsay József nevéhez köthető. Az igazi fürdőhellyé való fejlődés is ekkor vett lendületet, annak köszönhetően, hogy Festetics György gróf a tó déli csücskénél fürdőházat majd lacikonyhát építtetett. A 20. században pedig a Schulhof testvérek és Moll Károly orvosi tevékenysége tovább emelte a gyógyfürdő hírnevét, gyógyászati értékét. Az idei nagygyűlés is sok érdekességet tartogat, hiszen kiemelt előadások lesznek a kardiológia színes tárgyköréből, valamint betekinthetünk a helyi egészségturizmus rejtelmeibe is. Idén is számítunk a résztvevők aktív közreműködésére, örömmel várjuk a bejelentett előadásokat. Aki járt már Hévízen, biztos vagyok benne, hogy szívesen eljön ismét, akinek pedig először adatik meg ez a lehetőség, javaslom, hogy mindenképpen éljen vele. Találkozunk Hévízen!
