The Final Conference of the Joint Action on Mental Health and Wellbeing took place on 21 and 22 January 2016 in Brussels.  The event fostered fruitful discussions among EU institutions, Member State representatives and key stakeholders on the main results of the Joint Action, in particular on the different aspects of the Framework for Action implementation.

EPA was officially represented by Professor Wolfgang Gaebel, EPA President, who gave a presentation during the plenary session on the view of the EPA National Psychiatric Associations (NPAs) on mental health policy implementation. He also gave a presentation during the breakout session on long-term mental health care in the community, focusing on the issue of quality assurance in mental health systems.
 
We take this opportunity to thank the EPA NPAs for their contribution and commitment to improving mental health policies in the EU. EPA will keep working on the follow-up and implementation of the Joint Action in 2016.
