  A szakterület és a szakorvosi képesítés elnevezése - válasz az UEMS PRM szekció elnökének levelére

  Az UEMS PRM Section (UNION EUROPÉENNE DES MÉDECINS SPÉCIALISTES , Section de Médecine Physique et de Réadaptation, EUROPEAN UNION OF MEDICAL SPECIALISTS Section of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine)a következő  kérdéssel fordult a Társasághoz:
  In the Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, concerning the recognition of professional qualifications in European Union, which was published at the official journal of the EU on the 30.09.2005 (L 255/97), the title of our specialty is referred as «Physiotherapy» with minimum period of training 3 years. In 2012 this Directive is going to be revised and amended and we would like to have the support of your national society and your government for changing the general title of our specialty to « Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine » , which is the globally used title today.
  I would be grateful if you could answer me not later than the end of September 2011, whether the title of « Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine » is accepted from your society to be the new European title. Of course, each country may continue having some differences, due to translation problems, etc. Also, I would like to know, if in your country there is a training program for our specialty, what is the minimum period of the training.

  1. Az elnökség egyhangúan támogatta az UEMS PRM Szekció törekvését, hogy a "general title of our specialty"  « Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine » -né változzon.
  2. A szakterület és szakorvosi képesítés magyar nyelvű elnevezésének a jelenlegi hivatalos elnevezést adjuk meg: Fizikális medicina és rehabilitációs orvoslás” (FMRO) Az EU-s direktíva megújulásával kapcsolatos harmonizáció érdekében szükséges változtatást jó apropóként felhasználva a szakorvosi képesítés magyar nevének megváltoztatását kezdeményezzük. A javasolt névről az ülés után elektronikusan szavazunk.
  3. Az elnökség egyhangúan támogatta, hogy a szakorvossá válás minimális gyakorlati idejét Magyarországra vonatkozóan 3 évben adjuk meg, de azzal a kiegészítő megjegyzéssel, hogy ezt a 3 éves periódust két éves törzsképzési időszak előzi meg.

  (Az ülés után elektronikusan szavazott 7 fő, 5 IGEN szavazat a Rehabilitációs medicina elnevezésre, 2 szavazat a Rehabilitációs és fizikális medicina elnevezésre)
  Az ORFMMT elnöksége a szakvizsga jövőbeni magyar nevének a Rehabilitációs medicina elnevezést javasolja
  
  Így a válaszlevél a következő lett:
  1. « Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine » to be the new European title is fully accepted by our Society.
  
  2. The title of the qualification (& examination) of the medical specialty in the Republic of Hungary, in Hungarian at resent is: “Fizikális medicina és rehabilitációs orvoslás” (FMRO), w/o accents: “Fizikalis medicina es rehabilitacios orvoslas”. We decided at the above named session of the Board to initiate a change: The name to be attained is “rehabilitációs medicina” (w/o accents: “rehabilitacios medicina”).
  
  3. The minimum period of the training for our specialty in Hungary is three years. But before that, there is a two years long common trunk training.
