The ESAIC Board, the ESAIC Patient Safety and Quality Committee and its Patient Safety Partners are pleased to announce the start of a new Patient Safety programme project – the ESAIC Safer Care to Save Lives (SCSL) Ambassador’s Programme.
Supporting safer care for all!
As we gear up for Euronaesthesia 2024 in Munich, we would like to share with you a new initiative from the ESAIC: The ESAIC Safer Care to Save Lives (SCSL) Patient Safety Ambassador’s Programme.
ESAIC has a core vision for its contribution towards Patient Safety: Healthcare that is free from preventable patient harm. Our Patient Safety Ambassadors are our vision for making this vision a reality.
Patient Safety Ambassadors will have the necessary skills and knowledge to create change in their daily working environments. They will be recognised by ESAIC as champions for safer healthcare. They will be the face, the voice and the hands of change.
The ESAIC Safer Care to Save Lives (SCSL) Patient Safety Ambassador’s Programme contains elements to achieve these goals through education, peer to peer networking, inter-hospital Patient Safety reviews and the promotion of the ESAIC Helsinki Declaration on Patient Safety in Anaesthesiology, a recognised leadership statement on what is practical to improve patient safety in perioperative anaesthesiology and intensive care.
