The Masterclasses in advanced thyroid cancers (MAsterTC) are an initiative born under the auspices of the European Thyroid Association and aims to increase the knowledge on the diagnosis and treatment of advanced differentiated, medullary and anaplastic thyroid cancer. The Faculty will include endocrinologist, oncologist, pathologist, nuclear medicine doctors who have a recognized experience in the thyroid cancer topic.
MAsterTC will be a full immersion clinical and translational event designed for specialists with some experience in the thyroid cancer field who would like to receive further training on the diagnosis and treatment of these tumors from a multidisciplinary point of view.
Participants will be exposed to several topics and to a practice-oriented training.
MATC will be opened to a maximum of 50 participants and will be organized into plenary lectures and interactive workshops. Moreover, a tumor board scenery will be simulated where participants will present and discuss clinical cases to an International faculty of top experts (participants will be assigned to one of the 4 selected items and notified in advance to allow the preparation of the clinical case).
MATC will be divided into 2 educational parts:
1. Slides of the lectures shared with attendees before the event to give each participant the chance to deepen into different topics and to prepare for the in-person discussion
2. In-person event which will also give to the participants the opportunity to interact with experts in the field and to begin building an International Thyroid Cancer Network
The Masterclasses will be held in ENGLISH
