Celebrate World Skin Health Day 2024!Discover events, resources and ways to get involved World Skin Health Day is just around the corner on 8 July 2024! This global initiative aims to raise awareness and promote skin health for all.To mark this important day, the ILDS and ISD have organised a range of exciting activities, events, and resources to help you get involved and make a difference in your community. We are thrilled to highlight six impactful regional events taking place around the world, each dedicated to providing care and education in low-resource settings.
Six Regional Events
The ILDS and ISD are proud to support six impactful Regional Events in Europe, North America, Latin American, Africa, West/Central/South Asia, and East Asia & Pacific, with the support of CeraVe Care for All.
Europe - Malta
Free dermatological consultations and treatment at migrant centres with support from cultural mediators and migrant NGOs.
Africa -Mbeya, Tanzania
The launch of a 10-day Skin Cancer Prevention Programme, providing dermatological services to individuals with albinism at Mbeya Regional Referral Hospital.
Latin America - Patagonia, Argentina
Free consultations and education for patients, healthcare workers, students and children at San Martín de los Andes Hospital.
North America - Canada
An in-clinic talk on ‘teen and tween’ skincare, offering education and free dermatologist-approved products to parents and children, followed by an online forum for general practitioners
West/Central/South - Nepal
Outreach clinics for vulnerable populations, education for teachers and healthcare workers, as well as stakeholder meetings and a medical education session in Kathmandu.
East Asia & Pacific - Australia
An online patient group forum with renowned dermatologist Dr Stephen Schumack providing a global perspective on barriers to access to dermatological care, the financial burden of skin diseases and the stigma and discrimination suffered by patients.

We are ready for starting the registrations to attend the SUMMER SCHOOL ON TUMOR MICROENVIRONMENT AND IMMUNITY previously announced.
Date: 26-29 June 2024
Venue: Chateau Nove Hrady (Nove Hrady in South Bohemia, CZ) (https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nov%C3%A9_Hrady)

With the most limited cost we were able to ask, we offer to PhD students and early post-docs a package including the full course, accommodation for all period, all meals and coffee breaks + a workshop on ELISpot with practical demonstration.
Posters are welcome for creating an active poster session in which all authors will shortly present and discuss their work to the all students and
professors. The best presentation will be awarded at the end of the school.
We have place only for 40 PhD students/post-docs. When the number of registration will be reached the registrations will stop.
I hope that some of your young immunologist might be interested in participating and I kindly ask you to diffuse this information in your Societies.
Unfortunately, because ECI 2024, no bursaries are made available from EFIS this time |
