Kedves Kollégák!

2022. szeptember 15-e és 2023. május 31-e között másodjára kerül sor - az Európai Pajzsmirigy Társaság szakmai támogatásával - a Papillon Course on Thyroid Ultrasound online angol nyelvű képzésre. Az idén májusban lezárult első tanfolyamon 4 kontinens 24 országából 104 kolléga vett részt. Ez alkalommal két egymásra épülő kurzust tartunk, valamint korlátozott számban lehetőség van május végén egy kétnapos élő beteg gyakorlaton való részvételre.

Basic Online Course 2022. szeptember 15-től november 30-ig tart. Ezt alapvetően pajzsmirigy ultrahang-vizsgálatban kezdő kollégák részére hirdetjük meg. Olyan klinikusoknak, akik nem akarnak ultrahangot végezni, de a napi munkájuk során az ultrahang-leletekkel nap mint nap találkoznak, szintén hasznos lehet a részvétel. A képzés egyik célja annak elsajátítása, hogyan találjuk meg a pajzsmirigyet az ultrahang-vizsgálat során, a másik téma pedig az egyes ultrahang-jegyek felismerése és ezek szerepe a göbös betegség diagnosztikájában.

2022. december 1-től 2023. május végéig tart az Advanced Online Course. Ez a képzés a teljességre törekszik. Nemcsak a göbös betegségben előforduló típusos mintázatokat taglalja, de a nem típusos, differenciáldiagnosztikai nehézséget okozó eseteket is részletesen tárgyaljuk. Emellett az ultrahangnak a nem göbös pajzsmirigy betegségben, a mellékpajzsmirigy, a nyaki nyirokcsomók és más nyaki képletek diagnosztikájában betöltött szerepét, a göbök nem sebészeti kezelésének technikáit is bemutatjuk.

Az online kurzusok részben az interneten bemutatott előre felvett előadásokból, tankönyvszerű írásos anyagból állnak. De a legfontosabb, és a kurzust egyedivé tevő rész a több, mint 1,000, hangalámondásos ultrahang-video, ami az élő beteg vizsgálat élményét igyekszik visszaadni. A másik egyedi pillért az élő, online 90 perces webinarok jelentik. Ezek közül 12 alkalommal ultrahang-videók közös megbeszélésére kerül sor. Tíz másik, élő webinaron pedig nemzetközileg elismert előadók összesen 20, fél órás előadására kerül sor, melyet alkalmanként 15 perc vita követ. Itt többek között az egyéb képalkotó technikákról, a sebészeti kezelésről, a citológiáról, a molekuláris biológia szerepéről is hangzanak el előadások.

A 2-napos személyes gyakorlatra 2023. május 19-20-n kerül sor. A 14 órás képzés felében kis csoportokban, gyakorlott kolléga irányításával betegeken ultrahang-vizsgálatot lehet végezni, a másik rész közös ultrahang-video elemzés. Itt jelentkezési sorrendben maximum 30, az Advance Course-t teljesítő kollégát tudunk fogadni.

With pleasure, I can inform you that the International Surgical Week ISW 2022, our 49th World Congress will take place face-to-face next year. We will get together from 15 to 18 August in Vienna, Austria. I hope you will make your August plans to include a trip to central Europe.

I want to let you know that we have decided to move the congress location with the support of the College of Surgeons of Malaysia CSAMM. In August 2024, the 50th World Congress of the International Society of Surgery ISS/SIC will be in Kuala Lumpur in association with the College of Surgeons of Malaysia CSAMM.

In 2021, when we transformed International Surgical Week ISW 2021 to become Virtual Surgical Week VSW 2022, we were hoping for recovery from the pandemic, across the globe, and we still believe that we will soon see a sustainable upswing. At the same time, however, we have had to recognize that this recovery will not happen in time to create a strong and – most importantly – successful congress in Malaysia in August 2022.

In Europe, larger face-to-face meetings started to resume in the second half of 2021 and more are planned for 2022. Although Austria currently has a surge in Covid cases, and a short-term lock down, we are optimistic that with increasing mandatory vaccination in Austria, and perhaps elsewhere, and ongoing vaccinations, boosters and the coming of summer, this is not expected to pose problems by next year.

In parallel, the organizer, International Society of Surgery ISS/SIC is in close contact with the College of Surgeons of Malaysia CSAMM to plan the International Surgical Week ISW 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

EADV/ESDR Resident courses are for dermatology and venereology residents (either EADV members or ESDR members).
EADV/ESDR also offers accommodation, catering, and a social event during the course.

Course Description
This workshop offers a comprehensive examination of experimental skin regenerative medicine, emphasizing on cell and gene-based approaches. Participants will gain proficiency in culture and manipulation of skin cells in both 2D and 3D modalities, focusing on preserving stem cell functionality and regenerative capacities. The course addresses the application of these strategies in scenarios such as chronic wounds, large skin losses from trauma, and genetic disorders. Essential wound healing concepts are covered, enabling participants to tackle specific challenges with appropriate therapeutic tools.
The curriculum also delves into advanced skin gene therapy strategies (e.g. genome editing) to address inherited skin defects impairing regeneration. Discussions extend to pre-clinical models and clinical applications, providing a comprehensive understanding of translational aspects in regenerative medicine.
