Hungarian Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism
The Hungarian Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism was founded in 1966 incorporating basic scientists, both adult and pediatric clinical endocrinologists as well as specialists of related fields such as internists, surgeons and neurosurgeons, radiologists, nuclear medicine and laboratory experts. Today it consists of four sections (Neuroendocrinology, Thyroid, Pediatric endocrinology, Metabolic disorders).
The main goal of our Society is to support and help to maintain the high quality of patient care, basic or clinical research in the field of endocrinology. Moreover, the Society provides biannual conferences, regular educational programs, training and scientific meetings for professionals interested in endocrinology.
The Hungarian Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism cooperates with international organizations as the European Society of Endocrinology and International Society of Endocrinology, and participates in their campaigns at a national level.
