  "Labs Are Vital" is a public and professional education and awareness initiative designed to highlight the critical role that laboratory professionals play in healthcare and to address the issues facing laboratories today. It is the intent of the program to focus attention on the life-saving work medical laboratory scientists provide in diagnosing disease and improving health outcomes.
  
  “Labs Are Vital” recently partnered with IFCC and several of its international affiliates. An important initiative of the program is to create a joint Web site in order to provide updates on our collaborative activities. It is our hope that through the development of this Web site, we form a community that fosters communication among IFCC members and provides you with tools to help you in your own environment. Since no two countries are the same, this survey seeks to determine what issues are most critical to you as well as what tools would be of most interest. We encourage you to take this survey to help "Labs Are Vital" learn about the state of clinical laboratory medicine in your region.
  
  The survey can either be filled-out electronically or printed and returned via fax to +1- 847-935-6676.
