Tisztelt Kollégák! A Magyar Diabetes Társaság regionális kongresszusát, a XIV. Kelet-magyarországi Diabetes Hétvégét ebben az évben 2025. október 9-10-11-én (csütörtök-péntek-szombat) rendezzük Egerben, a Hunguest Hotel Flóra szállodában, melyre tisztelettel és szeretettel hívunk minden olyan szakembert és szakmai-vállalati partnert, aki fontosnak tartja a hazai cukorbetegek ellátásának javítását, a megelőzést, a gondozást és a kutatás-fejlesztést. A kongresszuson tematikus plenáris üléseket szervezünk, melyben felkért neves előadók tolmácsolásában, illetve az MDT szekciói, munkacsoportjai összeállításában hangzanak el akadémiai jellegű előadások és ezek mellett cég-szimpóziumokra kerül sor. Mind a plenáris előadások, mind a szimpóziumok egy-egy adott témakört fognak áttekinteni és az előadók „state of the art” színvonalú ismereteket adnak át a hallgatóságnak. A támogatók jelenléte és színvonalasnak ígérkező kiállításai lehetőséget kínálnak a gyártókkal és forgalmazókkal való személyes megbeszélésekre annak érdekében, hogy az egyes termékek még jobban szolgálhassák a mindennapi betegellátást. In the year 2025, the 26th EFORT Congress will take place in Lyon, France from 11 to 13 June.

In order to increase involvement and engagement with the National Societies we have moved away from simply inviting you to suggest topics, as this often led to duplication and repetition. Instead, the Science Committee has identified subject matter that is due for consideration after reviewing the most recent congresses and previous pending proposals. We attach a list of proposed sessions and now ask you to identify high quality speakers who you think can contribute to these sessions.

It is not expected that you will nominate speakers for every session – only make suggestions where you can point out a high quality contributor. It would be helpful if you could indicate whether the person you suggest is an expert across the topic, and could act as the organiser/moderator, or if the proposed speaker has a particular contribution to the topic (or subtopic of the main session) which you can summarise. We expect that we will receive more nominations than can be accommodated and, in order to maintain balance between contributing nations, please do not be disappointed if we do not use all of your suggestions on this occasion. They will be anyway collected as part of a database of proposals for next EFORT events.

We recognise however that there may be ‘hot topics’ that you do not see in this programme but you would like to be included. In this case please feel free to add a ‘hot topic’ title (or subtopic of a proposed session) and if possible suggest a relevant thought-leader who could organise the session and select suitable speakers.

For those sessions where you wish to make a suggestion for an organiser or contributor or the title of a subtopic, please complete the relevant bow before saving the file and returning to the sender. There is a box available for ‘hot topics’ if you feel something is missing that is timely and should be aired in Lyon 2025.
This letter has been sent to a number of representatives from each national Society – please discuss your ideas collectively and return one form on behalf of your National Association before the end of next month (deadline 29th February).

The scientific event sets out to gather together medical specialists that are part of the interconnected fields of pediatric orthopedics, pediatrics, family medicine, adult orthopedics and traumatology, medical rehabilitation, neonatology and radiology. During the event, several workshops and presentations will take place, with content dedicated to nurses and physiotherapists. While Pediatric Orthopedics as a specialty is a relatively novel standalone one, during our medical practice we set out to approach it in an integrated, multidisciplinary context. The tradition of the school of Pediatric Orthopedics has been carefully built in close collaboration with other medical specialties, such as adult Orthopedics, as well as Pediatric Surgery. Ever since the early 2000s, due to the efforts of well-established Romanian surgeons, Pediatric Orthopedics has successfully managed to create a place for itself as a distinct specialty. We are proud to claim that Romania stood among the first countries in Europe to open this path forward and, after 2020, our example has been duly followed by other states. Pediatric Orthopedics and Traumatology’s field of expertise is aimed at patients between 0 and 18 years old. We are deeply familiar with the expression “A child is not a diminutive adult”, which highlights the morpho-functional particularities of the locomotor apparatus in children. During this edition of the event, Pediatric Orthopedics will stand as the main point of interest, while the wider MDT specialties are invited to participate in this international scientific event. Dear colleagues and friends, After 51 years, the International Congress of Dermatology (ICD) returns to its European roots for the 14th edition, where it will be hosted by the International Society of Dermatology (ISD) in Rome from 18 to 21 June 2025. The XIV ICD 2025 – will combine tradition and innovation in a scientifically stimulating meeting that offers something for everyone in our six roads of dermatology. It will bring together international experts with the aim of offering an accessible blend of clinical, practical, and scientific education.
