Tisztelettel meghívjuk a Magyar Endokrinológiai és Anyagcsere Társaság XXII. Kongresszusára, amelyet 2008. junius 5-7 között Egerben rendezünk.
Nagy öröm számunkra , hogy társaságunk egyik legfontosabb rendezvényének városunk adhat otthont. Ez a megtiszteltetés az egri endokrinológusok több évtizedes tevékenységének az elismerése is egyben. Igyekszünk mindent megtenni, hogy a Kongresszus sikeres legyen. A szakmai, tudományos értékek mellett vendégeinket színvonalas társasági programokkal is várjuk. A rendezvényen az előző évekhez hasonlóan, neves hazai pszichiáter és pszichológus szakemberek, valamint a fiatal munkatársak részvételére számítunk.
A két napos konferenciát kerekasztal megbeszélések, valamint a tudományos kutatások bemutatására szánjuk. Az előadások fókuszában a magyar populáció egészségét befolyásoló lelki és magatartástudományi tényezők szerepelnek, továbbá az intervenció lehetősége. |

TRAVEL GRANTS:
This year again the Organising Committee of EUROECHO 10 will offer 50 Travel Grants of 500 Euros (including registration fee) to encourage the participation of young investigators in the EUROECHO 10 congress.
Conditions:
-Applicant not older than 35 years of age
-Abstract(s) accepted at EUROECHO 10

There will be 4 consecutive sessions during one day on each of the 2 following main topics:
-Heart valve disease - progress and prospects.
-The right heart and pulmonary circulation.
In addition, three sessions will be held on the theme of "The heart in endocrine disease" and two sessions on "Multimodality imaging". |

| The kidney has been implicated in blood pressure regulation since the observations of Richard Bright in 1827, when an inflammation of the kidney was associated with blood pressure regulation. Since then the role of the kidney in salt and water homeostasis and the renin angiotensin system have underscored the organ’s importance in control of blood pressure. Many of the inherited mechanisms identified in rare familial forms of hypertension affect salt handling in the nephron. In addition blood pressure reduction has been shown to be important in prevention of kidney damage. Recent advances in this area make this meeting, intended for cardiovascular and renal physicians very timely. We hope that established specialists and trainees will actively participate in this programme. |
