A közel ezer résztvevővel zajló rendezvény ma már az ország második legnagyobb orvostovábbképző kongresszusa. Számos elismerés mellett a legfontosabbnak a résztvevők közvéleménykutatásából származó információkat tartjuk.
A IX. DNN 16 szekciója 71 előadásában az alábbi témákat fogjuk megbeszélni:
új tudományos eredmények a gyakorlatban, húgyúti fertőzések, diabetes mellitus és diabeteses nephropathia, az erythropoietin-kezelés új eredményei, a veseműködés hatékony védelme hypertoniában és diabetesben, vasculitisek, tubuláris károsodással járó megbetegedések, lipidanyagcsere-, kardiovaszkuláris prevenció-, malnutríció- és kalcium-foszforanyagcsere krónikus vesebetegekben, a hemodialízis és a peritoneális dialízis családorvosi és ápolási vonatkozásai, szervátültetés (vese, máj, béta-sejt, haematologiai őssejt). A kongresszus magas szakmai színvonaláról az idén is a hazai orvostudomány kimagasló előadói fognak gondoskodni. Igényes felkészülésüket ezúton is köszönjük. A szakmai verseny nyertesei többek között külföldi tanulmányutakon (kongresszus) vehetnek részt..
A kongresszus jó alkalmat teremt a Magyar Diabétesz Társaság és a Magyar Nephrologiai Társaság közötti szakmai és emberi kapcsolatok további elmélyítésére.

Az Osteoporosis Betegek Magyarországi Egyesülete a küldetésében megfogalmazott céloknak megfelelően csontritkuláshoz kapcsolódó előadássorozatot indít „Csontakadémia” néven. A rendezvényeken a legnevesebb hazai szakemberek tájékoztatják az érintetteket és az érdeklődőket a betegséggel kapcsolatos tudnivalókról. A kifejezetten „laikus” közönségnek szánt előadások több oldalról járják körbe a témát, így a megelőzés, a helyes életmód vagy a lehetséges terápiák mellett szó esik majd a betegség kialakulásának hátteréről és a társadalomra gyakorolt különféle hatásairól is. A Csontakadémia rendezvényein a részvétel természetesen ingyenes, a szervezők szeretettel várnak minden érdeklődőt. |

AWARDS AND GRANTS:
There will be three different categories of award for those intending to submit abstracts:
1. YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARDS
These will be awarded to the highest scoring eligible authors and will be presented during an awards ceremony at the meeting.
2. TRAVEL GRANTS
The next level of awards, again based on abstract submissions from eligible authors.
3. POSTER PRIZES
For the first time at an ECTS meeting, there will also be a number of Poster Prizes, to be judged at the meeting.

On behalf of the Local Scientific and Organising Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 26th Annual ESPID Meeting, to be held May 13-16, 2008 in Graz, Austria.
We are very happy to have the opportunity to host the ESPID meeting for the first time in our country.
The main topic of the conference is “Viral Infections”. It is our intention to provide you with an interesting and high quality Scientific Program discussing epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and clinical presentation of important diseases. Original contributions by clinicians as well as researchers are highly welcome.
