Tisztelt Tagtársak!

Idén, végre a szokásos időpontban, június 9. és 11. között tartjuk meg, személyes jelenléttel kongresszusunkat. Remélhetőleg ez már annak a jele, hogy visszatérünk korábbi normális életünkhöz, habár a COVID járvány, - ha mérsékelten is - a mai napig velünk van és ennél sokkal borzasztóbb események is történnek a szomszédunkban.

Szokásainkhoz híven az idei kongresszuson is lesznek meghívott társaságok. A háziorvosokkal megkezdett együttműködést folytatjuk. Közös stratégiát próbálunk kialakítani arra, hogy a családorvosokat hatékonyan bevonhassuk az osteoporotikus betegek ellátásába. Nem csak közös tudományos rendezvény, de a háziorvosok számára szervezett, pontszerző továbbképzés is segítheti ezt a folyamatot. Emellett a tüdőgyógyászokat szeretnénk meghívni idén, velük tervezünk közös tudományos rendezvényt, népbetegségnek számító tüdőbetegségek és a csontbetegségek kapcsolatáról. A bejelentett tudományos előadások mellett – melyek számát reméljük, hogy nem csökkenti jelentősen a legutóbbi kongresszus óta eltelt rövid idő – számos szimpóziumnak is helyt ad a kongresszus, ahol megismerkedhetünk a legújabb kezelési elvekkel és készítményekkel is. A kongresszus záró napján a jövő osteológusai beszélnek majd a jövő diagnosztikus és terápiás lehetőségeiről.

Természetesen az esti társasági programokról sem felejtkeztünk meg. Remélem, hogy a személyes találkozás lehetősége, tudományos újdonságok és az esti programok segítenek mindannyiunknak kicsit elfelejteni az utóbbi hónapok nehézségeit és erőt adnak ahhoz, hogy visszatérjünk az új kihívásokat tartogató betegellátáshoz.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Congress of the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO) is now a very well established scientific meeting, and has participants not only from Europe, but from all continents of the world. It is the largest congress in dermato-oncology and there are no competing congresses in this field.

The 18th EADO Congresswill be hosted in the amazing city of Seville, Spain and will be a hybrid event comprising both an in-person conference and a virtual conference. We believe it will be one of the first congresses where face-to-face meetings will once again be possible.

Each EADO congress brings with it a special area of emphasis and Seville has a clinical focus on both the early diagnosis of skin cancer and dermatosurgery as part of the integral approach to skin cancer patients. Consequently, the promising therapeutic landscape that the increasingly conservative surgery and the latest breakthroughs in immunotherapy and targeted therapy bring to skin cancer patients will be comprehensively discussed in Seville, with also special attention to dermoscopy and other diagnostic technologies.

Compared to previous congresses, there is a balanced offering of topics on melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.

The best experts worldwide have been invited as speakers and will offer you the opportunity to gain a comprehensive insight into all areas of dermato-oncology.

The Geneva Health Forum (GHF) brings us together around major global health issues. It gives a voice to actors from the field and bridges them with policy-makers present in Geneva. It gives visibility to innovative, accessible and sustainable practices and tools and to important initiatives. After more than 15 years of existence, the GHF has become a crucial event in the field of global health.

For its ninth edition, which will take place from 3^rd to 5^th May 2022, the Geneva Health Forum will address crucial issues for our future. Under the theme “Covid-19 Pandemic and Environmental Emergency: Reinventing Global Health in Times of Global Changes”, the GHF will help us learn the lessons from the Covid-19 crisis and better understand the impact of environmental degradation on human health.

Indeed, the Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted our fragility as societies in the face of zoonoses, diseases that appear in the animal world and that can spread to human beings. Biodiversity loss and fragile ecosystems are factors that worsen this risk. Pollution and climate change are already having an impact on our health.

One thing is clear: our health is intrinsically linked to the health of the environment and global health must be revisited in the light of these implications. A paradigm shift is needed.

The Geneva Health Forum will provide a platform to help us better understand these issues and discover initiatives that can offer possible solutions.
