Dear colleagues,
From 19 to 22 November 2014, Rio de Janeiro will have the honour of hosting the XXVI SICOT Triennial World Congress. The SICOT and SBOT committees are preparing great social and scientific programmes that you will surely enjoy. The scientific programme will emphasise the latest updates and techniques in vogue today. Orthopaedic surgeons from all around the world will come together to exchange experiences in papers, symposia, plenary sessions, closed meetings, open meetings, educational days, and so on.
Apart from all this, the Congress will be held in Rio... With white sand beaches, warm weather and very friendly people, we really look forward to receiving all of you. Rio hosted the World Youth Day with the presence of Pope Francis and received over 200 thousand foreigners. The city has also been chosen to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympic games, so the entire city is being renewed and renovated. A good example is the Convention Centre where the Congress will be held. Brand new, it is located downtown with over 1,000 parking spaces and a complete infrastructure such as a subway system and bus stations. It is approximately 20 minutes away from the domestic airport. It is really a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to enjoy a city already known for its natural and cultural beauty with brand new infrastructure that will surely add to your comfort. We are very proud to be able to present entertainment for all ages. If a relaxing time laying on sandy beaches is not what you have in mind for your trip, our city can present you with alternatives ranging from culturally intense activities such as museums and expositions to the true explosion of colours and rhythm from the samba schools that will definitely never be forgotten.

| MEGHÍVÓ XVIII. Magyar Podiátriai és Lábsebészeti Vándorgyűlés Lábelváltozások új kezelési módszerei, work- shop és szeminárium Kecskemét, Granada Konferencia Wellness és Sport Hotel**** 2014. november 28-29. Kedves Kollegina/Kolléga! Kecskemét gyakorlatilag az ország közepe, így földrajzilag is a hazai találkozások helyszíne. Ezért is jelentős és fontos a lábsebészet iránt egyre nagyobb számban érdeklődők számára, hogy a XVIII. Vándorgyűlésünket, 2014. november 28-29-én, Dr. Gera László traumatológus osztályvezető főorvos és munkatársai szervezik, a Bács-Kiskun Megyei kórház és főigazgatója: Dr. Svébis Mihály c. egyetemi docens támogatásával. A korszerű lábsebészet további előnye, hogy az egy napos és ambuláns sebészet keretein belül is végezhető, műszerigénye csekély. A kongresszus szakmai programjába igyekeztünk mindenkit érdeklő általános témákon kívül a ritkábban előforduló és határterületeket is érintő témaköröket is bevonni és számos meghívott külföldi előadó révén még eredményesebbé tenni a tudományos tartalmat. Továbbra is várjuk a lábbal foglalkozó szakemberek, podiáterek, gyógytornászok, gyógy-pedikűrösök, diabetesz szakápolók, védőnők jelentkezését is. Vándorgyűléseink hagyományos része a péntek délelőtti - eddig igen sikeres - társasági program, erre Kecskemét városa nagy választékot kínál, melyre várjuk a kísérőket is. (A kongresszus helyszíne és szálloda választásában - ugyancsak hagyományos már, - hogy a kísérők, családok és gyermekek számára legyen lehetőség wellness használatára és az ott tartózkodás kedvezményes hosszabbítására.) Az esti programjaink a jókedv és a kikapcsolódás mellett az oldott hangulatú, baráti beszélgetések helyszíne is. Reméljük, hogy erre "a találkozásra" is mint magas színvonalú kongresszusra, work shop-ra, emlékezhetünk később. Jöjjenek el, gyertek el minél többen, hogy egymástól tanulhassunk és a tudományos rendezvény vitái mellett jól érezhessük magunkat Kecskeméten. Dear friends and colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to attend the 2014 EASAPS annual meeting that will be held in Madrid the 28th and 29th November.
An outstanding, international faculty, known for their skills in facial aesthetics, both surgical and non-surgical, and also for their teaching ability will deliver the program.
The world of aesthetic plastic surgery is changing rapidly with new technologies and new surgical approaches appearing almost daily. The 2014 EASAPS Madrid meeting will provide a fantastic opportunity for the faculty and participants to share the passion for and experiences in our field. The presentations will use detailed video to increase the quality of the education. This is a meeting for all who wish to learn more about facial aesthetic plastic surgery and non-surgical treatments and will immediately be useful in your day-to-day practice.
The incredible city of Madrid will be a backdrop for the meeting, and an opportunity to spend some time exploring the monuments, tasting the top class Spanish cuisine and making new friends and developing contacts with colleagues from all over Europe.
