Registration and abstract submission: The early bird registration and abstract submission deadline has been extended until 5 PM (CET) February 24, 2025. Dear Colleagues, On behalf of the European Society for Microcirculation (ESM), the Local Organizing Committee and Program Committee, we wish you a warm welcome to the Biennial Meeting of the European Society for Microcirculation (ESM 2025), to be held in Szeged, Hungary between May 19-22, 2025. The venue of the meeting will be the József Attila Study and Information Centre of the University of Szeged. The conference is a regular international meeting of the ESM scientific society, which has been held more than 30 times since 1959 in various European cities. On this occasion, the Hungarian Society for Microcirculation and Vascular Biology (MMVBT) is proud to host ESM 2025! In addition, the organization of the conference will be shared with the Hungarian, Croatian and Slovenian Physiological Societies to showcase research in microvascular physiology in the region. The ESM and MMVBT aim to create a common platform for clinical and basic research focusing on the microcirculation of organs and tissues. From a medical perspective, the conference theme is of central importance, as microvascular pathologies contribute significantly to many chronic diseases such as cardiovascular and central nervous system disorders. The program will begin with a thematic training session, followed by six plenary lectures, 14 symposia and two poster sessions, and will conclude with presentations by the winners of the 2025 Malphigi Award (ESM’s main prize) and the Journal of Vascular Research Publication Award. The ESM 2025 conference will provide an excellent opportunity for new international collaborations and active integration into the international vascular research community. ESM 2025 is an event that provides a platform for innovation in international partnership, especially for the development of therapeutic procedures and technologies that can be used in medicine. ESM 2025 will take place in Szeged, a vibrant university town on the south-eastern border of Hungary, spreading out on both banks of the river Tisza. Szeged hosts four education and research institutions including the University of Szeged, the Biological Research Centre – Centre of Excellence of the European Union, the ELI-ALPS Szeged Laser Research Institute, and the HCEMM – Hungarian Center of Excellence for Molecular Medicine. The high standard of education and research at the University of Szeged is underlined by its Nobel Prize winning professors Albert Szent-Györgyi and Katalin Karikó. Thousands of academic employees and more than 20,000 university students from all over the world contribute to a lively intellectual environment in the city. Although an old historical town, Szeged was destroyed by the flood of 1879 and has been rebuilt in the late 19th century almost entirely. The intense reconstruction delivered Neoclassical, Eclecticist and Art Nouveau architecture, and Szeged has become a Hungarian center of Art Nouveau. For nature lovers, Szeged is popular for bird watching, as the reconstruction of former fishponds outside the city resulted in a large and bird-rich wetland. Nagy megtiszteltetés számunkra, hogy 2025. május 19-22. között Szeged ad otthont az Európai Mikrocirkulációs Társaság (European Society for Microcirculation, ESM) soron következő konferenciájának, a European Society for Microcirculation Biennal Meeting (ESM 2025) rendezvénynek! Az ESM 2025 elnökeként szeretettel hívom meg a rendezvényre az MPHEST tagjait! A kedvezményes jelentkezés és az absztraktbejelentés határideje 2025. március 2-ig meghosszabbítva. Az ESM a molekuláris biológiától a klinikai kutatásokig, a szervek és szövetek mikrokeringésével kapcsolatos kutatások nagyon széles palettáját képviseli. A nemzetközi rendezvény célja a klinikai- és alapkutatások közös platformjának megteremtése a szervek és szövetek mikrokeringésére összpontosítva, amely kiemelt jelentőségű az olyan krónikus betegségek megértésében, mint a szív- és érrendszeri, valamint központi idegrendszeri rendellenességek. Az 1960 óta rendszeresen megrendezésre kerülő ESM konferenciákra az európai kutatói közösségen túl az ESM amerikai társ-szövetsége a Microcirculatory Society is delegál résztvevőket, az idén Ázsiából is érkeznek résztvevő kutatók. Kedves Kollégák!

Tisztelettel hívjuk és várjuk az Észak-Pesti Centrumkórház-Honvédkórház II. Tudományos Fórumára, amely 2025. május 22-én a budapesti Radisson Blu Béke szállodában kerül megrendezésre.
Amint bizonyára mindenki számára ismert, Kórházunk 2023. január 1-től önálló intézménnyé vált és Észak-Pesti Centrumkórház-Honvédkórház néven végzi országszerte elismert betegellátó tevékenységét. Ezt a fontos változást 2024-ben egy tudományos ülés keretén belül is megünnepeltük. A 2024 évi I. ÉPC-Honvédkórház Tudományos Fórumának jelentős sikerén felbuzdulva, úgy döntöttünk, hogy egy hagyományteremtő rendezvénysorozatot indítunk útjára.
A 2025 évi. II. ÉPC-Honvédkórház Tudományos Fórumának fő célkitűzése, hogy bemutassa az ÉPC-Honvédkórházban zajló magas színvonalú szakmai, tudományos tevékenységet, amely alapján Kórházunk méltán tekinthető a hazai egészségügy egyik fő zászlóshajójának. Reményeink szerint a 2025. évi II. Tudományos Fórumon is kitűnik majd, hogy hazai és nemzetközi hírű szakemberek által vezetett, széles spektrumú, minden fontos szakmai területet lefedő betegellátó és tudományos tevékenység zajlik Kórházunkban.
A rendezvényen az együttműködés és az interdiszciplinaritás szükségességét hangsúlyozva, a különböző szakmák változó és komoly kihívást jelentő kérdéseit fogjuk áttekinteni, reményeink szerint hozzájárulva a betegellátás minőségi javításához, a legmodernebb diagnosztikus és terápiás alapelvek megszilárdításához. Terveink szerint a szakmai program ezúttal is rendkívül változatos lesz: a szakterületek csaknem mindegyikének bemutatkozása mellett a szakdolgozók, a fiatal szakorvosok és a rezidensek számára is külön szereplési lehetőséget kívánunk biztosítani.
Bízunk benne, hogy a Tudományos Fórumot valamennyi résztvevő, meghívott tanulságosnak ítéli meg és az újonnan megszerzett ismereteket hasznosítani tudja majd a mindennapi gyógyító tevékenységében.
Tisztelettel meghívjuk és várjuk a 2025. évi Észak-Pesti Centrum-kórház-Honvédkórház II. Tudományos Fórumára, abban a reményben, hogy rendezvényünk mindannyiunk számára hasznos lesz, és új információkkal, szakmai ismeretekkel gazdagodhatunk.

Masterclasses in advanced thyroid cancers (MAsterTC) 26 - 27 June 2025 (Milan, Italy)

The Masterclasses in advanced thyroid cancers (MAsterTC) are an initiative born under the auspices of the European Thyroid Association and aims to increase the knowledge on the diagnosis and treatment of advanced differentiated, medullary and anaplastic thyroid cancer. The Faculty will include endocrinologist, oncologist, pathologist, nuclear medicine doctors who have a recognized experience in the thyroid cancer topic. MAsterTC will be a full immersion clinical and translational event designed for specialists with some experience in the thyroid cancer field who would like to receive further training on the diagnosis and treatment of these tumors from a multidisciplinary point of view. Participants will be exposed to several topics and to a practice-oriented training. MATC will be opened to a maximum of 50 participants and will be organized into plenary lectures and interactive workshops. Moreover, a tumor board scenery will be simulated where participants will present and discuss clinical cases to an International faculty of top experts (participants will be assigned to one of the 4 selected items and notified in advance to allow the preparation of the clinical case). MATC will be divided into 2 educational parts: 1. Slides of the lectures shared with attendees before the event to give each participant the chance to deepen into different topics and to prepare for the in-person discussion 2. PIN has turned into SPIN! That is definitely more than a play on words. PIN (Psoriasis International Network) did a great job over the years when it came to catalysing activities around this enigmatic disease. In contrast, many more diseases of the skin lack that high level of attention, availability of resources, and consequently research activity. We decided to change this, turning PIN into SPIN, the Skin inflammation and Psoriasis International Network. To date, SPIN gathers world-renowned experts not only for psoriasis, but for alopecia areata, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and vitiligo as well. We kicked off this evolution in 2017 and are determined to continuously push forward. The SPIN 2025 congress program reflects our ambition and offers innovative formats: Plenary sessions feature famous colleagues addressing topics of general interest to foster “inter-disciplinary” discussions.
