Az idei kongresszuson két számunkra fontos eseményre is sor került.
Az ünnepélyes megnyitó keretében, augusztus 29-én pénteken Dr. Merkely Béla, a Magyar Kardiológusok Társasága tiszteletbeli elnöke ESC President's Award díjat vett át. A kitüntetést a díjazottak az Európai Kardiológiai Társaság célkitűzéseivel összhangban végzett kiemelkedő munkájukért kapják. A másik idei díjazott Dr. Panos Vardas, az ESC korábbi elnöke volt.
A kongresszus záróeseményeként pedig, hétfőn délután "Exploration of potential problems and management of novel challenges in cardiovascular disease treatment in Hungary" címmel angolnyelvű szimpóziumot tartottunk a Global Stage-en. A szimpózium keretében Dr. Vágó Hajnalka, Dr. Nagy Klaudia Vivien és Dr. Jánosi András adtak elő. Az üléselnökséget Dr. Gellér László és Dr. Merkely Béla látták el.
A 2025-ös kongresszusra 65 absztraktot küldtünk be, melyből 44 került elfogadásra.
Huszonegy absztraktot a Városmajori Szív- és Érgyógyászati Klinika, tizet a Gottsegen György Kardiológiai Intézet, ötöt a Debreceni Egyetem, hármat a Szegedi Tudományegyetem, kettőt a Pécsi Tudományegyetem, egyet-egyet a nyíregyházi Szabolcs-Szatmár Bereg Megyei Kórházak, a Győri Egyetem és a Honvédkórház mutatott be.
Idén húsz üléselnökséget és kilenc előadást tartottak a Magyar Kardiológusok Társasága tagjai. A Városmajori Szív- és Érgyógyászati Klinika munkatársai tizenöt üléselnökséget és öt előadást, a Gottsegen György Kardiológiai Intézet munkatársai három üléselnökséget és négy előadást, a Dél-Budai Centrumkórház Szent Imre Egyetemi Oktatókórház és a Péterfy Sándor utcai kórház munkatársai egy-egy üléselnökséget láttak el.
