For the eighth FIPP (Fellow in Interventional Pain Practice) Examination, there is an introductory Review Course that is helpful. The written examination is in full depth but fair. The practical examination is in front of recognized experts who are the examiners, and every single one of them has gone though the examination process. The official language of the conference is English.

The scientific programme will continue the tradition of the many ESH meetings which have been held in the past. That is, a large portion of the programme will be devoted to oral and poster presentations which will be selected from the abstracts submitted by the participants, based on the assessment of several expert reviewers per abstract.
The programme will also include:
1) State-of-the-Art Lectures, Debates and Round Tables to complement presentations of original research with views of topics of basic and clinical interest from worldwide authorities in hypertension
2) Satellite Symposia organized by Drug Industry, which will be held in the days before, after and during (evening) the main meeting, allow more specific information on new treatments of hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases to be presented and discussed
3) Breakfast Workshops and scientific sessions organized by the Working Groups of ESH and presentations, in separate sessions, of the research activities of Young European investigators and
4) Teaching Sessions focused on aspects of more practical interest and on clinical cases aimed more specifically at physicians interested in becoming European Hypertension Specialists. Several How-to Sessions aimed at presenting and discussing practical aspects of methods to be used in the initial and subsequent management of hypertension and cardiovascular risk will also be included in the programme, using a format that will allow a limited number of attendees to interact with the expert. |
