The University of Bologna is organizing a Summer School on “Biomaterials in Orthopaedics and Dentistry” to be held on May 2-6, 2005 in Bologna, Italy.
The School is jointly directed by professor Armando Giunti, Chief of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and by professor Carlo Prati, Chief of the Department of Dentistry at the University of Bologna.
The Laboratory for Pathophysiology of Orthopaedic Implants at the Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli will serve in the organization and scientific co-ordination of the Summer School.
The Summer School on Biomaterials in Orthopaedics and Dentistry has been conceived to improve and update the knowledge on innovative biomaterials and tissue engineering, and their present and future clinical applications in Orthopaedics and Dentistry. It is therefore mainly directed to practicing orthopaedic surgeons and dentists, but it is also open to undergraduate and graduate students in Medicine, Dentistry, Biology, Biotechnologies, Chemistry, and Engineering. The official language will be English. The number of expected attendees is 25-30.
