In our hospital we are treating trauma patients mostly according to AO - ASIF principles, making hip and knee arthroplasties, general orthopaedic operations, arthroscopies and we are treating spine disorders and pediatric orthopaedic patients and so on. Our patients can speak only Finnish language. There are now four orthopaedic surgeons in the hospital.
The hospital area has a population of more than 130 000. It is
South-Karelian Central Hospital (Etelä-Karjalan keskussairaala ) Lappeenranta in Finland. The town Lappeenranta has about 53 000 inhabitants and is in South-East part of Finland. Lappeenranta is on the shore of the beautiful and big lake Saimaa. There are good possibilities to to swim and to sail. The nature in the surroundings of the town is beautiful.
We could give good possibilities for orthopaedic education and possibilities to learn more and specialize more. We could make also cowork with some Hungarian hospitals, if needed.
All orthopaedic surgeons have to speak Finnish language in our hospital.
