Access Resources for Kidney Patients!

AAKP proudly recognizes October 19–25 as National Infection Prevention Week, reaffirming our commitment to protecting kidney patients, caregivers, and the professionals who serve them. Infections remain a leading cause of hospitalization and complications for people living with kidney disease, but simple actions—consistent hand hygiene, staying current on recommended vaccinations, safe catheter and access care, proper environmental cleaning, and staying home when ill—saves lives. All week, AAKP will share educational resources, patient voices, and practical tips.

Pocket Guide to Managing Infection Risks for Dialysis Patients with Central Venous Catheter (CVC) Access - If you are on dialysis, particularly hemodialysis, there is an increased risk of infections at the site where the dialysis access is placed. Individuals on long-term dialysis, who have a central venous catheter (CVC) as their form of vascular access are at an increased risk of exposure to Cather-Related Bloodstream Infections (CRBSIs). 10th SCIENCE DAYS dedicated to Dermatology Research in Austria

Due to the positive feedback, the ÖGDV Science Days will be returning in 2025 for the 10th edition.

The aim of this event is to bring young dermatologists and dermatology researchers together in an informal environment, to foster the exchange and discussion of scientific ideas, methods and research findings.
