Az egyre szaporodó tudományos összejövetelek között a magyar gyermeknephrológusok és gyermeknephrológiában érdekeltek tudományos fóruma egy tradíciókkal rendelkező konferencia. Itt ismételten bemutathatjuk az elmúlt év során szerzett tapasztalatainkat, megbeszélhetjük a felmerült problémákat és meghallgathatjuk a tudományos eredményeket.
A szakma egyes területei elindultak a megújulás útján. Így a nephrogenetika, az autoimmun betegségek és számos egyéb területen is az itthon lévők vagy a külföldről hazatérők adtak új lendületet a szakmának.
Nemzetközi elismertségünket jelzi az a tény is, hogy 2009-ben külföldi előadóink között köszönthetjük az Európai Gyermeknephrológiai Társaság Elnökét és egyik vezetőségi tagját is.
A tudományos program a meghívott előadókon túl, abból a sokszínű és minőségi munkából épül fel, amelyben az elmúlt évben elvégzett munkáinkat mutatjuk be egymásnak.
A kongresszust az EKF Menedzsment Központ felvette a Pécs 2010 Európa Kultúrális Fővárosa 2009-es felvezető évi programjába.
